Association of Managers in Education
AMiE is the union and professional association for leaders and managers in colleges and schools.
A partnership between ACM (The Association for College Management) and ATL, AMiE was launched on 1 September 2008. AMiE's central purpose is to bring all its members a world class service, comprising of:
the support, expertise and resources of two of the UK's leading unions
unrivalled trade union support for individuals
a wider range of core services such as expert publications and professional development opportunities
membership of an organisation with enhanced and substantial political influence
a wider range of additional services such as insurance and tax return deals.
Both ACM and ATL are well-respected voices in the education debate, providing intelligent policy analysis. In colleges, ACM has promoted student-centred policies, while ATL sits on the national social partnership group, influencing working conditions and pay.
Through the ATL and ACM partnership, AMiE provides an authoritative voice for all education leaders and managers.
