ATL's range of annual subscription renewal rates represents great value for money, no matter what type of membership you require.
Please note that these rates are for those renewing membership to ATL in 2012. If you would like to apply to join the union, at preferential rates, please see subscription rates for new members.

If you qualified in 2011, you will receive free membership in 2012 and half price in 2013 if you agree to pay your subscription by direct debit.
If you qualified in 2010, you would receive half price membership in 2012 if you agree to pay your subscription by direct debit. If you decide not to pay by direct debit, you will recieve a 50 per cent rate for the first two full calendar years of teaching
If you qualified in 2009 or before, you will now be on the standard teacher/lecturer rates - see above for details.

The subscription rates for 2012 for teachers on a career-break/non-teaching are set out below.

Members are entitled to transfer their membership to retired membership when they retire (are non-working and in receipt of pension), at the end of their subscription year. The subscription rates for 2012 are set out below.

Members can claim income tax relief on nine-tenths of their annual subscription, provided it is paid from earned income. For more information, please see Claiming tax relief on your ATL subscriptions.
You should ensure that your membership is correct and fully up to date in order to access the full range of ATL benefits for members.
In order for ATL to be able to offer you legal assistance you must ensure that you keep either standard, retired or associate membership. If you choose to leave, ATL will not be able to assist you with legal advice or support. This applies even if you are seeking help with an issue that dates back to the time when you were a member.
Members should consult their membership renewal notice for any changes in terms and conditions.
As with any other union, ATL is unable to offer representation or assistance (including legal advice) with problems that arose before you joined. Prospective members should declare any such problems in a letter with their application form.
