ATL currently employs around 180 members of staff to give support, advice and information to our 170,000 members.
The majority of staff work from the London office and we also have offices in Belfast, Cardiff and Market Harborough to support the growing number of members in these areas.
ATL also employs staff across the UK to oversee members' case work and to promote the recruitment and organising of members.

You will be able to develop and deliver the strategic aims of the union, as well as manage the daily work of a multi-disciplined communications and marketing team while undertaking your own projects. You will work closely with the Assistant General Secretary (communications and membership) on delivering the communications team's operational plans and will take a hands-on role to ensure coherency across the team and across the union.
You will have an understanding of the education and/or trade union sector, and proven success at senior management level in a communications environment in a similar organisation. While we expect you will have strong knowledge and experience of a wide range of communications and marketing functions, we are looking for excellent skills in publishing and digital technology.
