Welcome to ATL Bury Branch.

 Although Bury is only a small local authority, ATL has standard members in most Nursery, Primary, Secondary, FE and Sixth Form Colleges and is the largest single union in the Independent Sector. It has a recognition agreement with Bury Grammar Boys' and Girls' Schools.

Bury schools perform well nationally and as a union ATL enjoys sound working relationships with the Head Teachers and the Officers of the Authority.

ATL is represented on Scrutiny Commission, JCC, Local WAMG and the Local Authority Health and Safety Committee. As an active member you can make your voice heard and have an impact upon local decisions that affect your working conditions.
