Free school meals will be offered to all pupils in a London primary school in a bid to improve the health and sociability of pupils.
This will be made available without means testing to all those who attend Temple Grove Hatcham in the south of the capital.
Formerly Monson Primary School, the relaunched institution will ensure that all its students are provided with a hot meal each day, reports the BBC.
Chief executive Elizabeth Sidwell told the news source: 'We believe in the importance of having a good meal to help sustain everyone throughout the day.'
She added that she hopes the meals, which will be eaten alongside staff, will help 'build relationships' throughout the school.
Earlier this year School Food Trust figures indicated that the take-up of school dinners among primary school children rose in the last year by 2.3 per cent, although it continued to fall in secondaries.
