Scotland's second Engage for Education event is due to take place today (August 26th).
Education Secretary Michael Russell MSP and Minister for Skills and Lifelong Learning Keith Brown MSP will be taking questions from the public on a range of education issues at the Lornshill Academy in Alloa.
They will be discussing the country's new Curriculum for Excellence, covering issues such as assessments and how qualifications are changing.
"The new school term has kicked off and we're now seeing Curriculum for Excellence become a reality in our secondary schools. It therefore is an appropriate time to undertake the second of this summer's public meetings on education," Mr Russell commented.
These summer meetings build on the recent launch of the engageforeducation.org website, he added.
The new Curriculum for Excellence was rolled out across the country's secondary schools earlier this month.
Speaking at the time, Mr Russell said it has been designed to provide pupils with the skills they need for employment and further education.
