ATL's Support Staff Members' Working Group

This group provides advice and guidance to ATL's Executive and officials on all matters relevant to our growing support staff membership, including teaching assistants, librarians, technicians, examination officers, administrative staff and all other education professionals employed in a support role in the maintained, independent, academy and FE sectors.

The Support Staff Members' Working Group (SSMWG) meets on a termly basis. Meetings are officered by ATL's national official for support staff, Peter Morris. Jenny Inglis, from ATL's Executive Committee and lead member for support staff, chairs the meetings, and fellow-EC member Debbie Polwarth and honorary secretary Shelagh Hirst also attend.
