Maintained sector pay scales
Pay scales for teachers working in maintained schools across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales can be viewed from this page.
The School Teachers' Review Body have recommended a 1% increase to all teacher salaries and allowances in England and Wales, with effect from 1 September 2013. The 1% reflects the limit placed by the Treasury on public sector pay awards.
Other changes to conditions for teachers in England and Wales are also being proposed.
Part-time teachers in maintained schools will be paid according to the same scales but should view ATL's advice on how part-time payments are calculated.
If you are a supply teacher you may also be paid according to the scales below, and should view ATL's advice on pay for supply teachers.
