Time to Pay Up campaign

ATL has joined ACM, GMB, UNISON, UNITE and UCU on an unprecedented campaign to get fair pay for all staff working in further education colleges in England

The Time to pay up campaign calls on colleges to honour this year's Association of Colleges (AoC) pay award of 3.2% or £550 for the lowest paid workers. The campaign also calls on colleges to implement in full the AoC harmonised pay scale, overdue since 2004. This would establish a minimum pay rate of £6.91 for further education staff.

The campaign has developed a model letter for ATL reps in colleges that have not implemented the national pay deals to send to their principal. The letter calls on colleges to commit to immediate negotiation on the full implementation of all national pay deals. Click here to download the letter. Please let ATL national official for post-16 education, Norman Crowther, know the response.

The model letter, along with more information about the campaign and downloadable posters and leaflets, is also available on the Time to pay up website.
