Whether your school is considering academy status, has already been given the go-ahead to convert, or is already an academy, ATL has produced resources to support you in your role as ATL rep.

Background to the current academies policy and other resources

In 2010, after the newly elected government announced its academies policy and the Academies Bill was passed, ATL joined other school workforce unions NUT, NASUWT, Unison, Unite and GMB, to prepare joint union information and resources for members.
