ATL's member working groups

As the education union, ATL takes pride in the fact that its policy is informed by the views and experiences of working teachers, lecturers and support staff. To this end, ATL members form a number of special interest groups, for example in a particular sector, to relay experience and inform ATL policy in that area.

Current groups include the following:

• Independent and Private Sectors Advisory Group

• Further and Higher Education Sectors Group

• Support Staff Members' Advisory Group

• ATL Future (students and NQTs).

Members of IPSAG, FESAG and SSMAG are elected on a two year cycle, commencing in the 2012/13 academic year. The role is voluntary but travel and subsistence expenses are met by ATL.
