Display options

Most users should find this website easy to read. However, if you are having difficulties, changing some of the display options in your browser may help.

Text size

To change the size of the text on the screen (and where supported, the graphics) follow the instructions below.

Internet explorer

IE8 has a zoom feature which allows you to enlarge the whole browser window: press 'ctrl' and '+' to increase the zoom, 'ctrl' and '-' to decrease the zoom, and 'ctrl' + '0' to return to the default setting.

You can also change the text size in IE8 and earlier versions of internet explorer:

Open the 'page' menu (or the 'view' menu in IE6/IE5) and select 'text size' (or 'text zoom' on Internet Explorer on the Macintosh).

Choose your preferred text size by clicking on it or by using the up and down arrow keys to select it and then pressing 'enter'.

Firefox and Safari

Open the 'view' menu and select 'text size'. From version 3 of Firefox, you can select whether to increase the size of text and graphics together ('zoom') or just text.

Choose your preferred text size by clicking on it or by using the up and down arrow keys to select it and then pressing 'enter'.

Alternatively, press 'ctrl' (or 'command' on Apple Mac) and '+' to increase the text size, 'ctrl' (or 'command' on Apple Mac) and '-' to decrease the text size, and 'ctrl' (or 'command' on Apple Mac) + '0' to return to the default setting.

Opera

Opera can increase the size of images as well as text. Press '+' (in some versions you might need to press 'shift' as well) to increase or '-' to decrease text size.

Alternatively, open the 'view' menu and select 'zoom' then use the mouse or the up and down arrow keys to select the option you want followed by 'enter'.

Netscape

Open the 'view' menu and select 'text zoom'.

Choose your preferred text size by clicking on it or by using the up and down arrow keys to select it and then pressing 'enter'.
