How to join ATL

It's easy to become a member of ATL - join now to take advantage of some amazing subscription offers!

  • If you join ATL as a teacher, supply teacher, lecturer or member of support staff, you'll pay only half the subscription rate. Reduced rates are also available if you are employed part time.

  • If you are a leader or manager you can join AMiE, ATL's leadership section, and pay half the subscription rate. Reduced rates are also available if you are employed part time.

  • If you qualify as an NQ in 2016, join us today to receive FREE membership until 2018 and half-price membership until 2019.

  • And if you're a trainee, it's also free!

You can apply to join online - the application process takes just a few minutes and you can set up a Direct Debit or pay with your credit card. Just go to the secure online joining form.


Call the 'Join ATL' hotline on 0845 057 7000 (local rate) to join ATL or AMiE over the phone.

By post or fax

You can join by post or fax if you complete an application form - print out and complete, returning it to: Association of Teachers and Lecturers, 7 Northumberland Street, London WC2N 5BR or faxing it to 020 7930 1359.

If you would like a form to be posted to you, please email our membership department or tel: 020 7930 6441, indicating which category of membership you are applying for and whether you work in a school or college (post-16 education).
