Annual Conference is where key policy decisions for the union are made.
2018's Conference will be held at the ACC in Liverpool from 9 to 11 April.
The first day of Conference will begin at 0900 so it is anticipated most delegates will travel to Liverpool on Sunday 8 April. Travel tickets bought in advance can be claimed using this form.
There are a number of meetings and events being held on Sunday 8 April. Please check the outline agenda if you think you may be involved in these before booking your travel tickets.
There will be an ecumenical Christian service on Sunday 8 April which is open to all who wish to attend regardless of faith. Space for prayer or quiet contemplation will be available at the Conference venue and a list of religious venues in the city centre can be obtained in advance from the conference team or from the reception desk during Conference. Assistance can also be given towards travel costs.
We will run a shuttle coach service on Sunday 8 April from Liverpool Lime Street station and the hotels. This will run from 1230-1800
Conference will close at 1400 on Wednesday 11 April. A coach service will be provided from the ACC to Liverpool Lime Street station. Trains home should therefore be booked to leave after 1445.
Disabled delegates should contact the Conference team in advance. They will work with the hotels and venue to assist.
Delegate hotel bills, on a bed and breakfast basis, will be paid for direct by the National Education Union. All breaks and lunches whilst Conference is in session will be provided without charge. Items delegates can claim for at other times will be detailed on the Conference expenses claim form which will be included in the delegate pack.
Conference dinner is held on Tuesday 10 April. It is free for all delegates and there is no dress code.
