The aim of the letter is to stop first instances of sexual or sexist behaviour quickly without the need to use formal procedures. The letter is best used where an individual rather than a collective response to harassment is appropriate.
Request to stop sexual or sexist harassment at work
This sample letter may be used by members – with the support of their rep or local officer – who wish to take an informal approach to an incident of harassment.
